A momentary lapse of reason
Friends, women and coutrymen,(Also my other readers)
I have decided that some clarifications might be in order looking at the general online and offline reactions I got to my previous post
first off the inspiration - it was some such solicitory mails/scraps sent to some of my friends.. or to varsha - my erstwhile cybernetic projection on the internet. http://profiles.yahoo.com/varshagopikar
Felt like writing one such thing,as a mater of fact I have told a couple of u guys that I was going to write one, and you "encouraged" me ... So I went on and wrote that.. it also did another thing for me, it gave my blog a high visibility logging about a 100 views taking me past 1000 views since installing the counter, which was in the middle of last term :D
so now everybody knows "who" inspired me :P
second off, I am not looking for a wife right now, for now I have other pressing claims on my small time - like beer, movies, occasionally grass, not so occasionally rooftops and lakesides; my blog and other writings, books etc etc However I do consider marriage important, therein ensuring the survival of my genes ( before u start getting ideas, think of what wd happen to somanchi in an anath ashram.. wouldnt live there.. he'd just survive.. and if its a she.. she's in trouble the day she is born :P ) But right now I am cool with what I am.
most importantly it was what is known as "A momentary lapse of reason" Those who know me personally know more about mine... but it does extend to every facet of my life. For now these are the lines to describe my life, dont mid the plagiarisation :p :
"It is the best of times, it is the worst of times, it is the age of
wisdom, it is the age of foolishness, it is the epoch of belief, it is the
epoch of incredulity, it is the season of Light, it is the season of
Darkness, it is the spring of hope, it is the winter of despair, I have
everything before me, I have nothing before me"
In short, oxymoronic, but will not be so pretty soon
Love,
Abhilash
