I had never thought I would use this space again.

I thought I was through with it, id outgrown the need for it,hell i was just too lazy.

after a long long time, i am doing a rock marathon, whats more.. without getting drunk in the process of doing so, and it feels so liberating. there is something truly liberating about rock, something that a godsmack or linkin park brings out in life...

I wanna heal... i wanna feel.. i wanna go somewhere i belong..

work life

as part of my first assignment i have to cover around 600 villages in a month, then continue and do a thousand more, or whatever i can do in 3 months.

i did 70 odd in 3 days, was an interesting experience.

rural retailers are fun, but the food is not.

would write more, but my stomach doesnt allow me to :((

200th post, and coming full circle

Hi folks,
this would be my 200th post since starting about 2 years ago. the journey has seen a lot of friends being made, and a lot left down the line. highs, lows and normalities like this one.

having recieved my first paycheque, i still dont have a bank account to put that in, and spend it.
no house to live ( not on a contract anyway) , in short still on folks money.

discovering the first hurdles of corporate life, namely that people suck. they need to be a!@-f!@ed . talking pleasantly doesnt help. unfortunately a lot of them arent professional enough.

nyways, will find a way around this, just as i have so far all my life, though this does tell me why people have three circles, the friendly one, the professional one, and the job one ( this being the variety who wd have a grudge against u - inevitable).

will update more shortly, as the guy whose pc i have hogged needs to use it.

hello folks.
ive joined work now, for now it is mostly about induction , learning the ropes etc.

company policies block personal emails, and orkut among other things.
this is fortunately not blocked as yet.

so in a roundabout way i have come about writing my 199th post.
when i do find a house, my 200th will be on the way.

dunno how long or frequently i can continue to blog, but thanks nyways for all the views :D

bhubhaneswar is a nice small place, with good roads(surprisingly!) , and friendly people in my office.

looks like a decent amount of my time will be spent in rural( and coastal) orissa, if things go the way they look like!

of female drivers

Have been driving in the city a lot these days. So I get to experience female drivers and their wiles 1^st hand. Contrary to popular belief only 10% of these whacko. Now before u start labeling me sexist, u gotta realize that where I am, that’s a compliment. Coz about 50% of the drivers here are whacko. They tend to think that giving a pass is like giving money. I couldn’t believe it when this geriatric bugger driving a god knows how old fiat, hogged the road in front of me for a full 15 minutes. Dint allow me to go frm the right or the wrong side. It was his good luck I was giving a lift to mom. If it had been a grp of my friends( some of em are local whackos, I try to avoid pillioning or taking a lift frm em), we wd have prolly driven him off the road.

Then there is the road hog, the guy with an suv driving at 20 kmph. I dunno why the bastards buy those vehicles. After this come the female drivers. All of them without exception have tried to overtake me, which is a bad idea ( I generally don’t let anyone overtake me). Just coz I am wearing a helmet does not mean I am also a slow driver. I was peacefully ambling along, when out of the blue this scooty thing comes and parks its ass in front of me. It dint help that neither of the females on top of that had a good one.

After that, I dint slow down for that trip. I thought that was the worst. But no. yesterday, while I was going to the city, some female on a scooty decided to dance around changing positions on the road to get past an obnoxious bugger on a suv. Hello? There is a que here lady, no ladies 1^st on the road. This dint last too long, was pretty close to where I had to go. I was about to take a left turn into the parking lot when I am almost hit by…. Guess what.. a lady driver backing out. Still, that’s only 10% of them. The rest drive peacefully.

The guys are mad. A lot are like the old bastard on the fiat, only I doubt most of them grow old to be like that.

A bit off the topic. Got a joining date, not a location though. Will join my first full time job on the 15^th of june 2006. amen to that.
